Dumbbells Review

Is there as versatile exercise equipment as the dumbbells are, perhaps kettlebells, weight plates, and barbell. Dumbbells are ideal for anything from exercising biceps and shoulders to ab exercises of course!

After a time of doing different sit-up or crunch type ab exercises you start to feel that the exercise isn't any more feeling in your abs and you would like to get a bit more resistance to your exercising. Look no further while dumbbells are not ideal they are suitable and a nice, cheap way to add more challenge to your sit-ups. Just take a dumbbell into your both hands, put it against your chest, to your straight arms or whatever way you find most comfortable and do couple of sit-ups and you'll know the difference.

The dumbbells are used like weight plates, which I think might just be the single best ab exercise equipment there is. You'll use them as an added resistance, the main point is to keep the dumbbells above your waist level and not to lift it with your hands just hold and let the abs do the lifting job. If you have light dumbbells, you can also put them between your feet and do leg lift type ab exercises with just using the dumbbells. As you progress, you might start to feel that the type of dumbbell you bought is too light, then it is either time to buy a new or maybe you should buy an adjustable dumbbell straight in the beginning. In an adjustable dumbbell you can add more weight as you get stronger.

The dumbbells have many different possibilities as an ab exercise equipment as a general exercise equipment as well. Many households even have one already. When you use dumbbells in your exercise, it might be a good idea to use an exercise mat also under your back as the floor might feel a bit hard on your back when using added weights and doing sit-ups. Otherwise dumbbells are a great piece of equipment and in relatively affordable price and have many different usability options, only problem usually is that people are lazy and don't use them.
